Right-aligning search icon within search input field using custom CSS

I noticed the following:
Usually the search icon (the magnifying glass) is right-aligned when the search input field is also at the right hand side. See

In Virtue Theme the search icon is still left-aligned within the right-aligned search input field. How would I change the icon to be right-aligned?
(ok, not all sides it is right-aligned, for apple.com it is not 😉
