Read More – wrong usage or not working?

Hi, not sure if this is a Theme functionality…I tried the “Read More” tool for the first time, and it does not work, I still see the whole text..
What I did is entered the ————————–REad More ———————————- line in the visual editor, but no changes…
Can u helöp me pls?
