Need full-width logo with navigation above

My client wants a simple menu above a full-width (in the boxed layout) logo, no text, just the graphic. I currently set up the home page to use the secondary menu, hid the logo using
#logo {
display: none;
}
and set up the home slider to one fullwidth image.

This looks the way I want, but the slider doesn’t resize on smaller screens. I also need to set up the other pages to match.
Is there a simpler way to do this?
