Increase/Decrease Buttons appear twice for input of type number

There are two types for “Increase”/”Decrease quantity” buttons.
I’ve noticed this on my webshop, and tried to fix it. However, I was not able to do so…
Apparently this is also a generell issue with Virtue theme, e.g. you can also see it on

This does not occur on Chrome, but on Firefox only. I do not know about IE, Opera, Safari…
Any idea on how to fix this using CSS so that it looks like it is in Chrome?
