in linking to restricted (404) pages (groups plugin)

Hi,
Using groups we have some product pages that are not visible to customers but only to shopmanager group. However, looks like Virtue still exposes the links to these pages.

I do not see these links in standard Storefront, and also the Groups plugin author suggested this to be a Theming template issue. So this probably comes from a Virtue theme.
1. Is there a way for turning this off.
2. Or even better, leave this behaviour as it makes semantically sense, but respect if a product is not visible due to Groups settings. I think Groups has an API/hooks for this: *Login to see link
