I want the green to flow smoothly 100% of the width of the browser. (Full-width header.)

The second thing I am trying to accomplish is covering width with the sky as a background graphic. Something like this:

I’ve tried using a tall/thin, repeat X background (top/center aligned) graphic setup via the Theme Options, but the height never aligns quite right to blend with the sky in the logo. (Even if I make the background the same pixel height as the logo, when the logo resizes, the background doesn’t.)

How would I go about doing something like this for the header in this theme? (Doesn’t have to be exact. In fact, I would certainly want some of the details to be different than the example – we can do better – but the fullwidth sky would be nice.)
