How do I close gap between full-screen slider and footer

I have a full-screen video slider defined for the Home Page. I don’t really want to enlarge the slider anymore as then part of the video is lost on a laptop display.
I want to either completely color the gap between the bottom of the slider and the top of the footer or just eliminate that part of the page.
How can I do that?
