Hide Date from Recent Blog Posts Widget?

Hi, Ben –
In the older version of the theme, I had the option of hiding the date posted from the Recent Blog Posts widget that I used in the footer. This was great because I use the blog options for event listings for clients. Now, I am not able to access that option and the date posted will conflict with the date of the event. Is there a shortcode I can use for hiding the date posted?
