Full width secondary menu

Hi,
A couple of questions. I am using the max mega menu plugin and I would like the navigation bar of the site to be full width (like top bar and footer). I have read elsewhere that the primary menu cannot do this, so I have made it as the secondary menu. Is there some CSS to achieve this?
Also, I have looked and looked but cannot see how to change the top bar colour. I’m sure its a simple fix, but cant see it for looking.
