can’t see close X on some gallery images.

1. If you click to enlarge on this page on some images i can’t see the close X.

2. Can you help me with this, i can’t under stand why the gray background on the image side won’t show. I have copied the same element from another page and it still won’t show.
these two should look the same with gray behind both the media and text areas.

I tried coping the code and the element from the page that looks good but once copied over it drops the gray behind the media.
