blog page not working/changing correctly

for whatever reason my BLOG page not long changes when I change the colum settings to 2, 3, etc. The side bar does not deactivate either when i set sidebar option off.

Here is what I have tried, but nothing fixes issue:

– cleared and deactivated all cache
– deleted blog page and created new blog page (named Blog).
– checked that WP setting > Reading was set to ‘Posts Page : Blog
– set initial blog page template to “blog grid”
– set the page blog grid options to: all blog posts, all post, 2 column (also tried 3), sidebar OFF
– updated Theme Options Blog Options (also tried a “reset section”)
– deactivated all plugins
– restarted server

nothing changes the blog page from it’s One Column display with sidebar.

I could be losing my mind , but I have never come across this.
It is like the settings are not taking effect… but it did work yesterday.
Nothing else in the site appears to not be working.

know what might be the issue ?
