Archive content background colour not working

Hi there, I have the Kadence theme (which is great!). On my post archive page I’d like the background of each post listing with it’s excerpt to be white, so it’s different to the the site background colour which is set globally and in this section to an off-white colour.
In the theme customizer, under Archive layout>Design>Content Background I’ve tried setting this to white but it doesnt’ show up. I still see the Site Background Colour behind each post on the archive page (I notice also that if I change the Site Background colour in the Archive setting nothing happens either). Is there some setting that would be overriding this? Or how can I fix this please? I’m not sure why the colour set isn’t showing up.
