Override Testimonial Widget Function

Hope you’re doing good!
Just a quickie – I need to customise the testimonial widget “class Kadence_Testimonial_Slider_Widget”
What is the best way to do this – is there a function hook over-ride (I can’t see one!) or is it better to copy the widgets.php file into a child theme lib folder and upload that?
Specifically, I want to adjust image size, layout style and more (can’t be done with csss alone!)
