YouTube Shortcode

I found another thread on this topic, but I’m already running the latest and greatest WP and Virtue.
I embedded a Shortcode for a YouTube video in a Visual Editor box. It works fine on my iPhone, but on my laptop and desktop I see nothing at all. It gets stranger; if I set the video to autoplay I get sound when the page loads with no visuals whatsoever.
