double line-breaks are not changed to in Custom Tabs

In a WooCommerce product I use custom tabs. If I enter a text like:
1
2
3
and save, then the result is:
1 2 3
Using visual or text editor does not matter, always the line breaks get missing.
Seems to me like wpautop is not called on the product’s view template for custom tabs or something similar…
I use virtue 3.0.4 and WC 2.3.7 (and according to the changelog, there is no fix for this yet)
