Can you use different font weights without specifying font family?

Just downloaded Kadence, seems pretty good for everything I need except the font weight selection which seems limited in the Gutenberg Editor.
I understand that if you specify a font it shows all weights available for that family but manually selecting a font for every single block seems a little silly, especially considering the nightmare you’d have to go through if you ever want to change the font site wide. I’d Much rather just set the font family once in CSS and then manually change the weight in the block editor without depending on manually setting the font every time I need a weight other than bold or normal.
Is there a native way to do this in Kadence blocks?
