extra code under page title in navigation

Extra code is showing under the page title in the navigation. When this happened years ago, I was advised to uncheck ‘description’ in the screen options on the page. But I don’t see ‘description’ anymore.
I tried unchecking ‘page attributes’ and that didn’t work.
I also tried deactivating all of the plugins and that didn’t work.
So now I have to bother you!
