Hi Team,
I’m setting up a post category of “Training” which will describe courses using a specific format of single post.
I am using Advanced Custom Fields plugin (ACF) for the first time. I have created some additional fields and populated them (Number of students, duration, etc).
The guide for ACF explains the php code to add to the child-theme template for the posts of that category, in order to display the new fields.

Some of Ben’s earlier guidance recommends using hooks rather than editing the child-theme template file.

Please could you clarify:

If I should be using hooks, could you point me to a guide?
If I should be modifying a child-theme template, which file I need to copy and modify?

Many thanks,
Phil.
