Wrong product name in cart

Hi guys, I am having a big problem that I cannot sort out. Everything in the store appears correct, but when a variable product is added to the cart it is the incorrect name on the product (but correct image) – this is in the actual cart and not the “… has been added to your cart notice” but the listing in the actual cart and then again on the “New Customer Order” emails that go out. Any thoughts on how I can remedy this quite quickly?
